This skier-triggered avalanche happened around 2:30pm on
Thursday March 25. It was triggered on a windloaded north
aspect around 3400 feet while skinning near Taylor Pass between
Magnum and Sunburst. It failed on a layer of surface hoar. The
crown face was 1.5 to 2 feet deep and 90 feet wide. The slide
ran approx. 300 feet. No one was caught.
