Observation: Chugach State Park
Location: Taproot (Spenard)
Toured to the Taproot to go to the snowball and support the avalanche center and avalanche school.
Recent activity: Yes – great music and fun dancing.
Signs of instability: Yes – every time the band played there was a lot of activity.
Observed a crowd of skiers/boarders that was initially not very cohesive but densified and started to
bond well as the evening progressed.
