While skinning up the prominent ridge (facing the road) on Idaho Peak I barely stepped off the sastrugi and onto the loaded slab on the northwest aspect of that ridge and the entire slope below settled. A pit revealed a wind slab about eight inches thick that collapsed (SC) at CT3.
