Location: Sunnyside East Aspect
This natural avalanche occurred sometime Sunday 3/1 on the slope
right across from the motorized parking lot in Turnagain Pass
(west side of highway). A combination of shallow windslabs and
sluffs entrained quite a bit of snow and left a sizeable debris
pile just above the valley floor. You can see other smaller
sluffs just to the right.
