This natural slab avalanche happened around 1 to 1:30pm on March
29 on a southeast aspect of Sunnyside at 3000 feet. It was
approximately 150 feet wide, and the debris ran 1500 feet. The
temperature at the Seattle Ridge weather station went from 31F to
40F in one hour between 1 and 2 pm while the clouds gave way to
sunny skies.
