5 degrees with mixed clouds, we headed up sunny side, atypical uptrack near Bertha Creek Campground.

5 degrees, new snow surface without any current precipitation. Cloudy. Above 1700 the surface snow began to see mild wind effect creating a slab that varied in thickness from 1/8 to 1/2 an inch.

ECTx, with the caveat that we moved pit a few times because the pit area would whumpf (trigger the propagating weak layer) before we could isolate an ECT column.
