Whumphing with the largest being about 10 yards in diameter
Some shooting cracks, longest 1 yard
5 degrees, new snow surface without any current precipitation. Cloudy. Above 1700 the surface snow began to see mild wind effect creating a slab that varied in thickness from 1/8 to 1/2 an inch.

Dug at 1520 feet on an east aspect 32 degree slope
80-40 cm was fist hard
40-25 cm loose facets with varied crystal types
25 cm to ground pencil hard crust
CT3 on a layer 55cm from ground.
ECTx, with the caveat that we moved pit a few times because the pit area would whumpf (trigger the propagating weak layer) before we could isolate an ECT column.
