Route & General Observations

Up standard skin trail, up ridge to first bump. Skied west and NW aspects with flat light and poor visibility. Sorry no pictures (couldn’t see much anyway)

Weather

10:30 parking lot Temp in high teens, Overcast, calm At ~ 1300 feet temps were noticably warmer (20's)
14:00 - 3200' temps high 20's to low 30's; 2000' temps in low 30's Light wind, snow showers
16:00 - parking lot, temps in mid 30's overcast light wind

Snow surface

parking lot to `1300' sun/melt freeze crust w/ 8" powder under
1300' - 3200' 10 to 12" powder with sun crust on southerly aspects. Snow wetter with lower elevation

Snowpack

Snow pack consisted of 10" - 12" of storm snow over a friable crust with facets above and below.
Couple of hand pits did not show anything significant. New snow would come off at the facet/crust interface with poor quality.
