Could see debris from the active weekend, but nothing fresh from the morning.
No new precipitation during our tour. Partly cloudy skies. Calm to light winds down low, but gusts up to 20mph at the ridge line. Temperatures below freezing.
We were greeted with 2 cm rain crust at the trailhead, but were happy to transition into dry snow surface at 1300'. Wind had impacted surface snow above 2500', we found 2-5cm wind slab along the ridge. Ski quality was quite good up high, especially in wind sheltered shots.
Found 1 cm buried surface hoar 40cm below the surface when we dug to take a look at 2400'. It was reactive with test result ECT 10 SC, but we were surprised when propagation saw test proved that it needed quite a long critical cut length to fail, 70/100cm.
Total snow height 75cm.
