Route & General Observations

Lots of spacial variability in my snowpits today! Easy to hard
shears under the rain crust on well-developed 2-3mm facets, all
clean Q2 shears. The 2 inch thick windslab near the surface
failed during the backcut, a clean and fast Q1. 4-6 inches of
new fluff on the surface. I also dug a quick pit at 1800 feet on
a West aspect and got easy to moderate clean Q1 and Q2 shears
under a 6 inch thick windslab (CTVQ1, CTE1Q2, CTM11Q2).
