Sunburst parking lot to Taylor Pass and up south ridge to Weather Station. Installed new battery/ sensors at weather station and it is now back online!! Best surface snow was found in the meadows on Sunburst approach (<2400′).

Recent deep slab avalanche on Pastoral, well documented yesterday.
Active wind loading most of the day today in mid and upper elevations.
12F at parking lot @ 1000 warming to 22 on ridge (3800') @ 1430.
Winds were moderate from the SE. Active pluming seen on high ridges in Turnagain Pass and Girdwood Valley.
No Precip.
Soft, settled powder in lower meadows. Surface became pretty wind effected (supportable hard slab) at ~2400' all the way up to Taylor Pass. South Sunburst ridge is wind scoured to rock and tundra.

Pretty homogenous pack at this location, WSW aspect @ 3500'.
HS = 165cm. Pencil hard wind slab over a thin melt/ freeze crust just above the ground. 2-4mm advanced facets at the ground.
