Route & General Observations

Checked out the Glide avalanche on south facing Sunburst today. Released sometime during the morning – Sunday, Nov 6th.

~50′ wide running ~ 400′, south facing. 1 meter crown (3 foot). Running on slick
heather. Spooky feel – in, photos, and out. Crown ~2500′.

Note for general snowpack conditions on Sunburst: Crown, as well as a pit at
2500′ SW facing, showed a strong right side up snowpack. Essentially knife hard
basal layer to fist at the surface. 1-1.5 meter snowpack in general above 2000′.
