Route & General Observations

-Observed large avalanche on Wolverine and several small
avalanches below 1500ft on steep convex slopes within forested
areas.
-Wide spread collapsing from parking lot to around 1500ft. I was
able to see the collapsing snow break the rain crust.
-Rain crust to around 1900ft. Wind slab above 2100ft with 0-4cm
of new snow on top.
-There were pinwheels between 1605ft and 2000ft on both Magnum
and Sunburst (perhaps this is the temperature transition zone?).
-Spin drift on ridge tops, and wind texturing on sunburst ridge.
-Two concerns: The surface hoar below 2000ft and wind slabs/new
snow in the alpine zone.
