Great ski quality in the Alpine!

Weather & Snow Characteristics
Please provide details to help us determine the weather and snowpack during the time this observation took place.
Weather

Obscured sky.
Started skinning and there was a fog layer between 2300 and 2600 ish ... It eventually burned off.
The sky was cloudy.

A little S breeze at the ridge.

Snow surface

New snow.
Maybe around ~ 8 CMS in places.
A stiffer 2" slabby layer below that near the ridge.

Snowpack

Quick pit at 2900' on a NW aspect. Wanted to check what the winds had been doing near the ridge, not so shallow at this spot still.
Off the ski track below the headwall.
HS: 192 cms.
ECTN11 on the interface with the old snow. (4F -> 1F)
ECTP23 126 down. At the top of the Thanksgiving crust (?). Unstable result but took a lot of force.

Definitely turning into a big slab.
