Route & General Observations

Tour up Sunburst Ridge to 3,800′. Nice springtime snow and mostly supportable from the parking lot.

Weather

Mostly cloudy/obscured skies. Some sun poking through occasionally.
Winds light with moderate gusts from the NE
Temps in the upper 20'sF along ridge.

Snow surface

Soft crust that was mostly supportable from parking lot to 2,500'.
Above 2,500' snow transitions to 1-4" of moist new snow from the past few days over a supportable base.

Snowpack

Dug one pit at 3,600' on a SW aspect. No weaknesses observed.

No new glide releases noted by 3:00pm along Turnagain Pass.
