Observer Comments

A slide was observed by a snowboarder not in our party on Pastoral peak. The snowboarder return to alert our party of the slide and we could see what appeared to be two people on the lookers left knob below and to the side of slide path.

Weather

Partly sunny skies. Winds WSW in the low teens with gust occasionally higher. Active transport of snow occurring. Temps in the mid-20's.

Snow surface

Dust on crust to 2200ft and the varying degrees of wind effected snow in the valley with heavily wind effected snow along ridge line.

Snowpack

No formal stability tests.
