Route & General Observations

Skinned up Sunburst the normal route to top of first highpoint on ridge hoping to make a short test run before trying to go any higher. Tried making 1 or 2 turns on slope but the snow was so heavy, wet, and sticky I didn’t feel I could safely control my board to make turns so I cut over and rode the top of ridge down and was still a huge effort to ride down in control. When I cut over to main slope I realized I was right on top the gully on the lower ridge and tried to ride over the top but was having trouble getting any speed and rode down a little further down than I would have liked and set off a decent sized slide that went all the way down to the other side of gully, maybe a between one and two hundred feet. was enough snow that could take you for a short ride at least.
