Observed 3-4mm V from 1300' - 2400'+, 2mm V above that in more sheltered locations
See pit profile from 3398'. Facets at the bottom. At the moment the slab is a dead rubber band even high in ridge line where there were a couple of layers of old windslab. But not a great set up.
The pic is down lower (2300’) . Wind sheltered location.
You can see the 3 MF Crusts in various states of decomposition. Only the lowest was present at 12/3 pit location on Fresno and there were no loose (unfrozen) facets at ground on Fresno (not in the hand pits I did there either). Basal facets were loose in most hand samples traveling on Summit Peak.
