Route & General Observations

Drove to Summit Lake to take advantage of the clear skies and good visibility to look for any evidence of natural avalanches from our last storm. A few small slabs covered with new snow from the New Years storm were seen, but nothing of notable size. Easterly winds were actively loading Western aspects as I drove through the area. A few days ago only 2-3″ of loose dry snow was available for transport.
