Recent natural avalanche activity on West facing slopes from wind loading
yesterday. One avalanche was seen on cross loaded gully on Butcher Peak which
was small 100-200′ wide and shallow (1 foot deep). The other avalanche was seen
on Tritip (Paluki) at the top of the main gully above Summit Lake. This
avalanche was shallow (1-2′ deep)but fracture line was several hundred yards
wide. One other avalanche was seen on Tuesday but looked like it had been from
the weekend on Raven Ridge SW aspect.
