Route & General Observations

General Road Observations. Snow and Rain below 600′ elevation. Snow in the Carter Lake Area and Summit Area was heavy at times. Snow totals at Summit was 3-4″ of very wet snow from Carter Lake to south of Summit Lake. North of Fresno new snow was measured at 6-8″ mid day with heavy snowfall. Upper elevations received additional amounts. NE winds were gusty 20-30 mph. This new layer sits on a crust layer and facets below that. No avalanches were observed but visibility was very poor.
