Wind effected above 3000′ on east aspects with 6-8″ of light density snow on top of breakable rain crust
(friendly) from 2000-2700′, and 12″ of light density snow from 1400-2000′. Compression tests revealed
CT4 Q3 down 15cm—-CT9 Q1 down 35cm on a slope of 38 degrees on an eastern aspect. The photos
reveal the poor structure presently in the Summit Lake snowpack with rotten faceted snow resting on the
melt freeze crust on the ground.

However, mid-elevation low angle powder skiing has been worthy
