Toured to the top of Spokane Creek. Crusty the whole way up until about 3000ft. Sunny in the morning, but clouds, snow, and wind moved in by midday. 8-12mph ridge top winds were starting to build some soft slabs at the top of ski lines.
10-15mph down valley winds filled in our skin track in about 2 hours.
No signs of instability found.
There is a significant sun crust on anything with a southern exposure. But we were very surprised to find the crust on SW aspects from 2500′ down to 1800′ softened enough for ok turns, despite heavy clouds and some wind. Temperature at the car at 1:30pm was 37F.
