Please provide details to help us determine the weather and snowpack during the time this observation took place.

Mostly clear skies with clouds building throughout the day from the SE, no precipitation, moderate winds from the SE

Snow surface

The brief (but beautiful) period of nice surface conditions has ended. The landscape was severely wind-affected, with bare ground in many places and up to eleven feet of snow in gullies. Snow was firmer along the ridge with patches of sastrugi and a breakable hollow wind layer.
