Through Hunter Pass toward Ship Creek on skiers left.

Avalanche investigation for a close call that occurred Wednesday, March 11th. A solo ptarmigan hunter on skis triggered and was fully buried in an avalanche in the Ship Creek drainage side. Hunter/skier was able to self rescue and is OK. Please see account from the individual involved HERE. (this report is posted on March 11th on the observation page)
