Route & General Observations

Wind was light this morning and temps fairly warm with continued flurries. We were out by 10A.

Deep trail breaking and riding with upside down snow pack. Hard to get the tips up. New storm snow came in heavier (than the cold smoke) and more cohesive but still very soft slab. Small fractures at our feet on the way up. No slumping of cut slopes or larger propagation.

Wind effect *before* most recent snowfall being the main factor on snow depth. Wind moved some of the new snow around but coverage was relatively consistent 15-20 inches.

One collapse was felt lower on the slope in the trees where there was less wind effect and the previous light snow was not compacted.
