Route & General Observations

Toured up Sin Valley (Bear Den Valley) from Fishhook parking lot. Observed only older slides and debris piles from 3/27-3/30 storm. One more recent slide, D1R2.5, north face of Peak 4600, perhaps from wind event of 4/10. Skinned up to and skied slope from col between Peak 4600 and Peak 4800.

Thn ovcst->bkn clds. Lght wind. Temp=27.2F (Marmot).

Snow surface

Supportive crust, recycled powder on shadowed faces. Top 2cm soft on unexposed slopes in afternoon

Pit located as marked by pin on map, HS=300cm, PF=25cm, slope=28 deg. Aspect=NNW. Profile: 0-20cm (4F), 20-95 (1F), 95-97 (P), 97-135 (1F), 135-150 (4F, facets). CTN, ECTX, STM at 130cm.
