Location: Silvertip creek, Twin tip
This D3 avalanche looks deceivingly small from the road. On
closer investigation it has crown depths estimated at 8-10 feet.
Vertical drop was over 3000 feet. Some broken trees found in the
path were verified at 25-30 years old. This avalanche was a
product of the recent wind events, starting with wind slab and
stepping down into deep layers above and below the Nov. 22 rain
crust. Avalanche happened sometime during the wind storm on 2-25
