Route & General Observations

Snowmachined into Sidney Creek. Skied a east facing chute. Triggered a whumpf near some rocks on a north face, near some rocks, accessing the westernmost Ridgeline in Sidney Creek.

Otherwise, lots of roller balls all over the place on steep south faces with rocks. However, less large wet/Sun effected avalanche activity than expected.

Very good conditions on protected slopes. 8-14″ on firm base depending on aspect & elevation.

Avalanche Details

Observed a relatively small skier triggered soft slab avalanche. Triggered by 1 of a party of 5 skiing a NW face in Sidney Creek bowl. Skier was on a ridgeline & no one below, so no one effected. Looked like new-old snow interface.
