Avalanche activity observed during Dec 15 and Dec 16 road patrols between
Girdwood and Seward. Fairly widespread activity but nothing bigger than D2.5
with some avalanches running to valley floors in areas with channeled terrain.
Howitzer mission on December 16 at MP 21 produced zero results in deep snowpack
at shot point elevations between 3500′ and 4500′
D2 at Bus Stop North Path just south of Sterling Y.
D2's at Unnammed Paths just south of Sterling Y near Avalanche Acres Subdivision
D 2.5 at Tri Tip along Summit Lake
D2 on Motorized Side of Turnagain Pass just south of the parking lot
D2 Portage Road at Five Sisters Path adjacent to the Five Fingers Ice Climb
