Observation: Turnagain
Location: Seward Highway across from Johnson Pass TH
Debris started midslope as per the arrow and had some soil color. South aspect. At road level temperature 38F on the carmometer. Min 36 Max 43 for the trip. Areas of moderate rain although “splats” on the windshield at Turnagain Pass. At times the snow level appeared 500 to 1000 FT above road level based on accumulation on spruce branches. Ponding was the hazard on the roadway.
