Two human triggered wind slab avalanches seen on the front side of Seattle Ridge. These are believed to have been triggered either late in the day on Thursday 3/4 or earlier on Friday 3/5. No signs of persons being caught up in them were visible from looking at the debris.
Slab 1: Skier triggered, ~50′ wide, 5-10″ thick and running 200′
Slab 2: Believed to have been triggered from ridge, ~20′ wide, debris pulled out additional pockets of wind slab below. Largest pocket was ~50-70′ wide and whole avalanche ran around 300-400 feet. Crown estimated between 6-12″ thick.
