A few runs on Seattle Ridge and Main Bowl.

Observer Comments

No obvious signs of instability.

Glide cracks: Zero bowl had one crack, NE aspect. This was the same mid elevation band as the cracks on Eddies and Tincan. Good view from Seattle Ridge of all the Eddies/Tincan glide cracks...there's a lot in that mid elevation zone.

Weather

Calm wind, low 20's, mostly cloudy.

Snow surface

Settled powder and wind effected snow.

Good snow quality, good skiing but hit several rocks. Exit down Sunnyside was nice, better than most of last year.

Snowpack

Variable snowpack observed throughout tour due to shallow early season conditions and past wind events.

Snowpit dug in Main Bowl off of Seattle Ridge at about 1,900 ft, NNW aspect, 20 degree slope, 1:00pm.
HS 80 cm deep, 1F+ at ground, pencil hard mid pack, to 4F, to Fist at top 10cm.
Test Results: CT22 Brk/Q3 20cm down. ECTN22 20cm down.
