Witnessed a powder cloud behind Willawa Campground, Portage Valley at about 4:30pm. Fresh slab on West face of Pyramid observed last night that must have avalanches between 5 and 9pm. Fresh cornice fall above Triangle bowl. Small slabs below CFR on Tin Can. All activity had a strong western component.

Recent avalanche activity on westerly slopes. WARM! 55degrees at 6pm
Warm and stable air. Slight westerly breeze, mid 50's at sea level. Mid to high 40's on Seattle ridge at 6pm. High clouds beginning to stream in as we left.
Isothermal at 1K. Becoming supportable around 2K. Thin degrading sun crust on all aspects but North. Still some hot pow on North. Overall, really fun, quality spring snow to be had!
No pit info but direct sun and warming temps definitely adding to instability later in the day. Powder cloud in May??!! Still dry snow to be found up high!
