T pass moto lot to 2,000′ on up-track. Did not make the ridge due to mechanical failure.

Large glide crack released just outside of the motorized parking lot sometime between 6PM (Sunday, 3/6) and 10AM (Monday 3/7). There is still a large piece on the lookers left side that has not avalanched but likely will at some point. Dozens of other glide cracks still litter the Seattle ridgeline.

A glide crack on the West face of Pyramid (as seen from Girdwood Tesoro) shed another big chunk of snow overnight.

Weather

Overcast. Rain in Portage Valley but generally dry thru the Pass. Temps were warm. 42 degrees in Girdwood at 8AM.
High temp today at Center ridge SNOTEL (1880') was 39 degrees. Ridgetop winds picked up mid-day, gusting to the 30's mph.

Snow surface

No new snow. Hard, supportable crust to 1500'. 2-4" of soft, warm powder on supportable crust to 2,000'.
