Route & General Observations

The Avalanche Center recently got some new snowmachines. They
are super fun, and I reminded myself yesterday that I need to
keep my human factors in check. Its easy to get excited about
new gear and get yourself into a bad situation fast. The
snowpack has some issues right now that we all need to be
conservative with. The human factor can be one of the most
difficult issues to manage in avalanche terrain, especially when
you get new toys. Safe terrain management and strict travel
rituals like going one at a time help reduce the human factor.
