Route & General Observations

We found this peeling cornice and others like it on Seattle ridge above the West facing bowls. These
crevasse cracks will eventually get bridged over by new snow, leaving a hidden glacier-like hazard of
crevasse falls with the added problem of an unstable cornice. This crack was a couple feet wide and at
least 10 feet deep.

Upper elevations had soft, wind blown snow and poor visibility.
