Just wanted to report the presence of surface hoar as new snow is forecasted without much wind.
And of course, lots of glides!

Weather

Thick valley fog up to 2500'.
Bluebird above. Windless.

Snow surface

Boot pen usually about 15cm.
Rimed snow surface from 1500', Then a quick transition to surface hoar near 2800' along the ridgeline. Present at our high point of 3280'.
Typically about 1cm in size, but larger crystals on shady rollers, smaller crystals on sunny aspects.
