Route & General Observations

Common uptrack to BBQ and down into Seattle Creek. Hung around the headwall for most of the day. The cornice between Seattle Creek Headwall and Big Chief is huge! Don’t trust the existing tracks that ride over it!

Afternoon rollerballs, surface conditions were getting pretty water logged in the afternoon. Appeared to be a fresh natural slide on backside of BBQ (kind of between -1 and -2).

Bluebird, calm winds, mid-30s, glorious AK day

Snow surface

Hero snow conditions, surprisingly only ankle deep boot pentation all day. Slopes were beginning to re-freeze once the sun dipped.
