Drove through Turnagain Pass to Johnson Pass parking lot to get a look at the overall wind effect.

Observer Comments

Natural and human triggered loose snow avalanches and a few recent crowns of small slab avalanches that had been blown in. Girdwood also had very similar avalanche activity looking around the valley and there was also a small cornice fall observed in upper elevation terrain. An observer also noted a recent wind slab in 20-Mile.

Weather

Partly cloudy, looking South towards Lynx was mostly cloudy
Winds observed some moving snow along ridges. Moderate speeds at weather stations from WNW.
Temps in the mid teens at road level, single digits at weather stations

Snow surface

Lots of wind affected snow even at road level. However, it looked like there was still some soft snow to be found in places.
