Route & General Observations

Drove halfway down Portage Glacier Road and down the Seward highway back to Girdwood around 2:30 pm. Snow line now starts halfway up the mountains in this region. No new snow was observed under treeline. Abundant roller balls and several steep loose avalanches were observed near ridgetops.

Wet loose avalanches on a variety of Southerly aspects at upper elevations in Girdwood and along Seward Highway, specifically on Raggedtop, Max's, and Orca.
