Route & General Observations

Large avalanche seen from the distance from the road to Arctic Valley on Rendezvous Ridge. Wind loaded W facing bowl at 3600′. Appeared to have failed recently due to wind loading in most recent storm. Unsure of which layer it failed on. Propagated most of width of bowl. Difficult to estimate crown thickness due to distance away but likely 1 meter+. Smaller wind loaded pockets at 3000′ also avalanched on Rendezvous Ridge. No evidence of any slides on tour within AV basin. 30 cm of lighly wind affected pow that still rode great. Weather was mostly calm and sunny.
