Several parties skied fcrom the top of Rendevous Peak ; (8-10 skiers total) between our first and second lap. We noted shooting cracks that had developed along the convesixties in the steeper start zone of Avalanche Gully that we did not observe prior to the the first lap.
Mostly clear skies with valley fog. Light northwest winds. Tempertures in the high teens/ low twenties
Soft snow surface conditions with pockets of wind affected snow.
Snowpack height ranged from 20-75cm (8-30"). 40cm (16") of new snow (progressing one finger to fist-on surface) sitting on 35cm (14") of a complex set of crusts and faceting snow. Tests: CT 14 SC, ECTP 23 BKN, PST 25cm with self arrest--but significant collapse.
