Strong inversion with 38-40 degree temps from 2k-5k have created spring like cornices failing. Although overall avalanche hazard has been low recently, today multiple fresh cornice failures were observed across multiple zones across the region. Nearly all cornice failures had triggered slides to the ground. Propagation was limited to slopes directly impacted by the weight of the cornice drops. High possibility of spring shed cycle occurring on all sunny aspects if inversion continues. Spring time procedures/avoidance of travel on/under sunny slopes with cornice overhangs is prudent at this time.
