Localized cracking on wind-affected east ridge. Recent shallow wind slab natural avalanche on N. aspect near ridge.

Calm winds and sunny skies

Snow surface

2cm surface hoar below treeline on top of faceted pow. A glorious buffet of sastrugi, hard slab, and rime above treeline.

The views are better than the snow. Bring a good friend, sunglasses, and a positive attitude and you'll have a blast.
