Toured up into Rae Wallace Bowl to see conditions on shaded aspects. Ascended to first microdot bench before heading back to the parking lot.

Weather

Calm winds with temps in the mid 30s. Sun gave way to snow showers and transitioned to mostly cloudy with light snow

Snow surface

~1in of snow fell during our tour. Snow surface was smooth and moist

Snowpack

Dug a quick pit on a 30 degree NW aspect rollover below the chutes 61 47’ 21”N. -
149 15’ 7” W at 4000’
HS 215, dug pit 1 m down, ST moderate 25 cm down from top. CT23 10cm from Surface; CT 28 20 cm down from surface. No failure at interface with pencil hard thick layer 25cm down.
