Observation: Chugach State Park
Location: Rabbit Creek Valley/Ptarmigan Pass
Up Rabbit Creek towards Ptarmigan Pass to check out coverage at higher elevation. Large drifts in the flats, evidence of transport and scouring in steeper terrain. Mostly supportable crust under 0-10cm of low density fluff, occasionally consolidated into breakable wind slab. 5/10 skiing with 10/10 vibes. Wide spread surface hoar will be something to watch for when new snow arrives.
