Localized collapsing underfoot below top of alders. Heavy snow, rising temps and wind. No cracks or whoomphing above highest alders.

Weather

Snowing moderate to heavy, temps right around freezing. Winds gusting to 15 up high out of SE. Flat light to near whiteout. Foot plus of new snow.

Snow surface

High moisture and wind broken crystals, foot plus on melt freeze crust, with facets above and below crust. Snow better above 2000 ft.

Snowpack

Pole pokes, no pits.
