older loose snow slides originating in steep SSW &SW terrain @ 4000'+/-
scattered glide cracks up to 3200'

Weather

I thought it was cold until a very slight breeze came up. Then it REALLY was cold
Clear, -5F/-20C

Snow surface

skiff of new snow over facets and/or wind slab
2mm SH in valley bottom and lower elevations

Snowpack

HS varied from 60-80 cm below 2500' increasing to approx. 1 metre higher up
Lots of indications of previous down valley wind
In several spots w/ > 1 metre HS probe tip came up muddy - unfrozen at the ground
