With three consecutive days of warm temperatures, cloud cover and little to no overnight re-freeze, the snow is beginning to melt out in earnest in shallow zones at all elevations.
Weather today:
Partly cloudy skies with temperature at 1,000′ in the uppper 30’s. Winds were calm along the Pass.
The only sign of avalanche activity were a few small wet loose slides in the Portage Valley where 2-3″ of snow fell 2 days ago then was warmed by the following sunshine.
