Snow machined up towards squirrel flats/ hob knob. Made the ridge line. At the ridge we saw a large old cornice break that may have triggered a slab. Hard to tell because it was snowed over. Due to the cornice avalanche we stopped and dug a quick pit.

Dug a quick pit with my track. I cleaned the face, removed the top 30cm of snow because I was targeting the deeper surface hoar/facets. No weak layers stood out in our face but got a CT12RP 85cm below surface. The fracture plane was very planar and had some small facets mixed with decomposing stellars. Also got 2x CTN and ECTX. I was not able to repeat first result.
